今个暑假广州英语频道《发现广州》与你有约！我地将在8月22日下午1点30分举行第三届“中外厨艺比拼”活动，届时多位国内外朋友将进行一场厨艺大比拼，欢迎大家到现场支持各位选手。

I channel’s third home & abroad cooking competition will be held at the Oggi restaurant in Ti Yu Dong Lu at 1:30pm on the 22nd of August. 3 pairs of competitors will battle their cooking talent. Everyone's invited! And the show will be broadcast on TV and internet.

Contest schedule

1. Q&A

The show will prepare 20 questions, which are related to cooking or nutrition, such as what food can’t be consumed together, kitchen tips etc. this corner is strictly bonded with the next grocery buying section.

The first 10 questions are “time buying” questions; one point will be awarded for every right answer, and each point equals to one minute buying time for the purchasing time.

The next 10 questions are “money collecting”, again, one point will be awarded for every correct answer, which will later translate into 10 rmb allowance.

2. The purchasing section.

3 pairs of competitors will buy the ingredients for their dishes, the buying time is 15 min, with 20 rmb allowance. According to the last section, the team who gets the highest score in terms of answering questions gets more time and money.

3. Battle time

Each group will have 30 mins to prepare their dish using the ingredients they bought.

4. Judging time

We invited 2 star ranked chef and supervisor from I channel to be the judges, together with 10 audiences from the crowd. The audience judge will have a sticker on them to give to their favorite pair, and each sticker equals to 5 points. The final score will be the sum of judges and audience.
